The owners, the Capurso family, has produced grapes since 1896, grown at this location east of Verona city in the heart of Valpantena valley, whose name derives from the Greek "pan-theos", the valley of all the gods, boasts wine making traditions going all the way back to the first century BC. The particular terroir of this area ( protected by Lessini mountains and from the Torricelle hills of Verona) provides a high quality production of the native grapes typical in Valpolicella blend and are in particular five: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara and Croatina.
Today, Nunzio Giovanni, Camilla and Selene are the fourth and fifth generation to live here and continue the family business, three of their fifteen hectares of vines are used to produce their own four wines, twoValpolicellas, a DOC and a Superiore, Amarone della Valpolicella, as well as an IGT named Diavolo Rosso (‘red devil’) after their Irish setter dogs. Also, the value is that the farm is in one place, the vineyard and cellar and accommodation in the Agriturismo Corte Moranda are all there.
